Fall is coming, which means winter weather is also right around the corner.

Now is the perfect time to have your roof inspected to make sure it’s protecting your home from water damage due to winter rain and snow. –

Here are 5 things to look for that indicate an old or damaged roof

  1. Dry-cracked pipe boots
  2. Missing or buckled shingles
  3. Water damage around skylights
  4. Cracked or missing caulk on facia joints
  5. Granule loss on shingles

If you can visually see any of the above items… or if your roof is over 10 years old, and appears damaged when viewed from the ground, we recommend having a qualified roofing contractor inspect your roof this fall.

Most reputable roofers offer a free roof inspection, so this step shouldn’t cost you any money. But it might just save you a lot of expense and hassle down the road.

NOTE – Climbing on a roof can be very dangerous. Follow safety procedures or better yet call in a professional.
